I've been working on this collection of orchard photos since 2005. There are hundreds more that I've never posted, but these are the ones I thought were strongest.
I love this mosaic view of the set (below), and the slideshow on Flickr is nice too. These photos have been shown publicly at the BC Orchard Museum.
I've also published a small collection of orchard photos in a Blurb book: Okanagan Orchards. The Penticton Western featured the book in an article: Photography book chonicles Okanagan orchards. From the review: "Okanagan Orchards is a delightful collection by Summerland photographer Jeremy Hiebert. The images are alternatively artful and playful, taken from many different perspectives — one is an extreme close up of a cherry leaf, the next accentuates the lines and patterns created by rows of trees. Taken as a whole, the pictures inspire the viewer to see our familiar landscape with fresh eyes and to perhaps appreciate what is no longer there." In January, 2012, the Penticton Herald published an interview about the project: Okanagan orchards are picture perfect.
This slideshow is similar to the one on Flickr, although it's a smaller selection of my favourites. I composed a viola duet early in 2011 and called it Orchards, so that's the soundtrack here:
